We provide free training and support material for all aspects of Eyejusters distribution - project planning, training courses for you and your organisation, vision charts, and data collection. Remember, if you order a distribution kit, printed support materials and charts are included.

The basics: you should have read the Training Guide and will also need a Distance Vision Chart. It is also a good idea to have a 'How to choose glasses' chart handy and to record data with the Data Collection Sheet. The full selection of materials is available in the tabs below.

Basic Materials

Start here to learn to dispense Eyejusters with our training manual and accompanying questions.
The training guide is the primary material for you, and to distribute to your organisation's staff and volunteers. It contains all the information needed to dispense Eyejusters effectively and safely.
Training Guide
A set of questions accompanying the training guide to test your knowledge of the material, including answers for self-assessment purposes. Also included is a certificate of completion at the back of each question book.
Question & Answer Book
This chart will help a dispenser choose the right type of glasses to help someone see clearly - positive or negative Eyejusters, or reading glasses.

Training Course

A complete set of materials that work with each other to help you train others in your organisation.
To help organisations planning small vision projects in the developing world, or just starting out with distribution of Eyejusters, we've provided a basic guide to setting up small eyeglasses distribution projects based on our own experience.
Project Planning
Supporting the training guide is a set of trainers' notes, helping trainers set up training courses, assess trainees and make the most of the training guide.
Trainers' Notes
These slides complement the training guide and help trainers emphasise points and get the key information across in a visual presentation. There are three formats available, Powerpoint 2007+, Powerpoint 97-2004 and PDF - please select the most appropriate.
Training Slides
A set of questions designed to help you assess trainees' ability through the course. These can be used as the basis of an assessment test - no answers are included in this version. Also included is a certificate of completion at the back of each question book.
Question Book
Answers to the assessment questions for trainer's or examiner's use only.

Vision Charts

You can download copies of the vision charts we provide if you need any more.
'Tumbling E' vision charts are an essential part of the dispensing process, and are usable for both literate and illiterate recipients. By using vision charts designed and marked to complement Eyejusters training materials you will lessen any chance of confusion.

During distribution

There's a few items you might need during distribution to help you and your staff.
For new dispensers the pocket cheat card is perfect - when laminated and placed in a pocket it provides a quick reminder of the steps involved in providing Eyejusters, to make sure they don't miss a step.
Pocket Cheat Card
There are two versions of Eyejusters, positive power and negative power, to cover as many types of refractive error as possible. The instruction cards that are normally placed inside each case are available for download below.

Data recording & collection

Recording data is vital - not only does it help you track your impact, we've designed our data collection forms to help you through the process of dispensing.
Our data collection sheet is used to help dispensers collect data for further study, recipient records and to assist in guiding them through the process of providing glasses in the field.
Data Collection Sheet
Prefer to keep your records electronically? Download our template to store the relevant data in a basic Excel spreadsheet.
Electronic Data Sheet
On Eyejusters-provided data collection forms you'll notice a section called 'Code'. What is this?

Codes are a way of getting all the important data condensed down into a short format, so you can archive them off paper sheets quickly and easily using character recognition software. You'll soon be able to upload the full data by using our electronic template (below) or just a list of codes. All our data collection sheets and materials are compatible with this coding system. We have big plans for Eyejusters data codes, and they're really easy to use.

By using codes you are able to use our impact data analysis tools (currently in development). By submitting your collected data to us you will be able to get important statistics on your impact and help us improve Eyejusters.
