Frequently Asked Questions
Can I buy negative power/distance vision Eyejusters?
For individuals
At the moment we don't sell our negative power glasses directly to individuals. This is because in many places, including most states in the US and most of Europe, distance vision eyewear must be sold through or under the supervision of an optometrist to a valid prescription.
For companies/organisations
We are selling our negative power Eyejusters in bulk quantities for organisations who wish to distribute in the developing world. Please see our distribution kits for some pre-made options, or contact us directly.
I'd like to order bigger numbers of Eyejusters for the developing world - can you offer me a discount?
Absolutely! If you'd like to distribute Eyejusters in the developing world we offer large discounts - please see Developing World to find out how to distribute Eyejusters, or start by ordering a distributor's kit by clicking here.
We would love to hear from organisations that are interested in becoming a distribution partner. If you believe your project is a good fit for Eyejusters distribution, please email us.
Where do you ship orders?
We ship to the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom and all other EU nations.
How much does delivery cost?
We charge $4.99 P&P, and an extra $0.50 for each additional pair you receive. These charges will be calculated automatically and added to the total when you buy.
How fast is delivery?
Your order should arrive within less than a week. Delivery is with the regular postal service.
If I order from the Give & Get Community partners am I still donating a pair of Eyejusters?
Yes - all of our friends in the Give & Get Community have signed up to providing a pair of Eyejusters for every participating product that they sell. Please check their websites for a list of participating products.
Can I specify where my donated glasses go? Can I choose a colour?
This is not possible at present. The donated glasses are selected according to need in the local area of the vision project.
Are the donated glasses all adjustable readers?
No - we provide both positive and negative power Eyejusters to projects in the developing world depending on the need of the recipient.
Are the donated glasses provided free of charge to end users?
All of the Eyejusters you donate are provided by us to distribution organisations for free. In certain circumstances, distribution organisations may make small charges to end users to cover some of the costs of their work. All of this money goes back to the local organisation to support local development and aid efforts, and Eyejusters receives none of this money.
Are you a non-profit organisation?
Eyejusters is a for-profit company dedicated to making affordable self-adjustable glasses for the developing world. We want to grow a sustainable business fulfilling a valuable global social need. By purchasing from our Give & Get program, you're helping us grow, bring costs down for the developing world, support new development and raise awareness of us and the enormous issue of vision correction.
Is your site secure?
We use PayPal to provide payment services - we never see your credit card details and your security is assured. Both PayPal and our online shop uses SSL technology to provide industry-standard security for your data. All of the information you give to us is covered by our privacy policy.
Do I need a Paypal account?
No - you can use any credit or debit card to pay through the Paypal checkout. There's no need to set up a Paypal account and your order will be processed identically.
Can I return items?
If your item is faulty and you wish to return it, please let us know by submitting a support request and we will arrange to have it returned at no cost to you. This does not affect your statutory rights. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
If I return an item do you take back the donated glasses?
If you have not returned your order within the standard returns period (see our terms and conditions) only then do we count it as a donation. We don't take back glasses from someone who needs them. Once they have them, they're theirs.
Can I get additional dials?
You can add additional bags of magnetic, re-attachable adjuster dials at the checkout for $3.00 each. If they are not displayed for purchase then we are re-stocking the warehouse.
Where are they made?
Eyejusters are made in the UK.
